Learn the Strategy You Need to Succeed from Intake through Trial

Good chess players know that to win the game, you have to determine your strategy and moves several plays ahead.  The great chess masters know that not only do you have to determine your own strategies and moves, but you also need to understand how your opponents are going to react to your moves and anticipate how you plan to counter each of those reactions.

Florida attorney John Romano moves that master strategy to the courtroom.

"For attorneys, the strategy is the way you figure out how you're going to defeat your opponent in any given situation combined with figuring out how your opponent will determine how to beat you.  The problem is most trial advocates only look at the first half of this approach.  They determine how to beat their opponents, but fail to analyze how those opponents have decided to defeat them," said Romano.

Romano has the solution for you--the Opposition Strategy Prediction Assessment (OSPA), which can be used in every phase of your case.  Learn how to utilize this critical trial strategy in "Exposing and Defeating the Defense Case: Issue Contamination Strategies," a featured session at the 2020 WVAJ Mid-Winter Convention and Seminar.

"A trial lawyer handling a case must do a complete and thorough analysis not only of his or her own case, but also the predictable strategy that will be used by your opponent.  Figure out what your opponent is likely to do.  Don't leave anything to chance.  Consider what the other side is going to do and plan for it.  When you know what your opponents options are, you can dissect and take advantage of them," said Romano.

"It will not only help you counter the other side, but also help you as you build your own strategy for every phase of your case and trial.  It will give you a marked advantage."
